The highly anticipated Alien TV show has finally completed filming, with Noah Hawley promising viewers something truly special. This FX show has been filled with unexpected updates, and the latest reveals that production has just wrapped up.
Noah Hawley, the creator, revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that the freshly named Alien: Earth has wrapped up filming and is now undergoing post-production. He expressed his happiness with the project, noting the considerable time needed for the visual effects component. According to him, fans wanting a series set in the Alien universe will be pleased with what has been created.
Alien: Earth is set to be a prequel occurring 30 years before the Ridley Scott-directed original from 1979. Hawley, known for Fargo and Legion, is at the helm of this new show, with Scott involved as a producer.
The cast features an ensemble including Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, Adarsh Gourav, Kit Young, and Timothy Olyphant. FX chairman John Landgraf mentioned that there are plans for Hawley to write at least two seasons of Alien: Earth before returning to Minnesota for a sixth season of Fargo.
Overall, it is an exhilarating period for fans of the Alien franchise. Alien: Romulus, directed by Fede Álvarez, is slated for release on August 16. Its first trailer, with its unique lo-fi horror style and nostalgic VHS marketing, has already generated significant excitement.
