Zumba Fitness Core Coming to Kinect and Wii

After Zumba Fitness Rush combined Zumba Fitness and Zumba Fitness 2 into one Xbox 360 Kinect package, Majesco is ready to unveil the next game in the franchise: Zumba Fitness Core for the Kinect and Nintendo Wii, planned for this October.

As its name suggests, Core will focus on tightening abs and burning belly fat. However, as it is a Zumba game, it will still offer the full-body fitness that fans have come to expect from the franchise.

After the franchise sold over 7 million copies world wide, it has become abundantly clear that Majesco is ready to storm the fitness and motion genres with popular franchise, attractive graphics, and interesting innovation (see NBA Baller Beats).

Gamers get this ab-heavy work out from over 40 new songs and routines, spanning over 30 international dance styles. While Majesco is not ready to reveal the full track listing right now, it has hinted to tracks from artists like Enrique Iglesias and Don Omar.

Some of the dance routines and styles include Brazilian Funk, Polynesian, Celtic Bluegrass, Jive, Jazz, African and Disco (both complementing Salsa), Cumbia, Bollywood, and Raggaeton. Tutorials have been added to help players pick up the new steps from dances like Bollywood or Raggaeton.

The game will help players keep track of the fitness regimen with goals and diet and wellness tips.

New locations have been added to the game, including Tiki Beach, a Venetian ballroom, and Waterfall Resort.

In addition to returning coaches Beto, Gina Grant, Tanya Beardsley, and Kass Martin, new instructors Loretta Bates and Nicholas Logrea will join the party.

Local multiplayer will allow two players on the Kinect and three players with the Wii controllers. Also, the Wii controllers use a belt to allow the action to remain hands free.

Zumba Fitness Core will hit the Xbox 360′s Kinect and the Nintendo Wii this October.
