Bethesda vs InterplayDetails are starting to trickle in for the Bethesda vs Interplay settlement. Among those details is the fate of the Fallout MMO.

As part of the the settlement agreement, Bethesda’s parent company, ZeniMax, will purchase full development and ownership rights of the MMO for $2 million dollars. After that, Interplay and Masthead studios will no longer develop the MMO and lose all future rights to Fallout Online.

In addition to the MMO, Interplay will also lose rights to Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics. Fortunately for Interplay, these original titles will be available as the Fallout Trilogy from Interplay until December of 2013. After that, the rights will move to Bethesda, as part of the purchase agreement.

Both companies will pay for their own legal fees.
