Instead of a standard End Credits, in which I will be desperately searching for three awesome stories worth reporting on, I’m only going to focus on one story today. Thus, this will be an IMHO!
For those of you who love the realistic and fast-paced warfare that Battlefield 3 has to offer, and I am NOT talking to any PC players on this one (sorry), then you may already know about the giant patch that DICE just released today for Xbox 360.
Just when you thought you were safe from Harmonix and EA’s music games, Chess Hero came and slapped you in the face. This action packed real time strategy game will keep gamers’ masked-taped spectacles on the edge of their nostrils. And upon release, the game will feature exclusive day one DLC for two incredible map packs, as well as “The All Powerful Queen,” “Bishop,” and “Rook” DLC for incredible new strategies to overthrow your buddies.

Black & White released in 2001 and it absolutely blew my mind. I remember watching a friend play it and being amazed at the possibilities the game afforded players. It took me a couple of years, but I finally got the game and a machine that would run it. Even after a couple years, the game satisfied everything I wanted it to be.
Day one DLC is unacceptable by its strictest definition. Gamers should not be expected to pay more money to unlock content that already exists on the disc. That argument is pretty easy to make.

BioWare finished Mass Effect 3 in January, according to executive producer Casey Hudson. After that, the game entered bug fixing, certification, and manufacturing.
Some of you may have read my rant from last week, but some of you may be new. So, I’ll quickly recap what this is all about. When I was a kid, the video game industry was very different than the money-making behemoth it is today. This editorial highlights certain points of video game design and trends within video gamers themselves that I simply can’t stand. EA has just announced release of a Mass Effect IP for the iOS. The game sends players on a rescue mission to release Cerberus bound captives from the shady organization’s clutches. This ties into a reward system that will actually affect players’ games in the console release of Mass Effect 3. EA states, ”Every completed rescue and intelligence discovery in Infiltrator will increase a player’s Galactic Readiness rating directly through the ‘Galaxy at War’ system in Mass Effect 3.” The Galaxy at War system has to do with the game’s multiplayer system.
