Square Enix producing Mastiff

The San Diego Comic-Con starts on July 12, and Square Enix plans to bring a bunch of its games for attendees to demo.

In addition to the first public demo of Tomb Raider, Square Enix will offer Heroes of Ruin (Nintendo 3DS, July 17), Kingdom Heart 3D [Dream Drop Distance] (Nintendo 3DS, July 31), Sleeping Dogs (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, TBA), and Hitman: Absolution (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, TBA).

The San Diego Comic-Con runs from July 12-15, and Square Enix will demo the games across several locations:

In addition to the demos, two panels will allow fans to understand the development process of the new Tomb Raider:

  • Tomb Raider at the Nerd HQ, Block No 16 Union and Spirits, 344 7th Ave, Saturday, July 14 from 12pm-2pm.
  • Reimagining a Gaming Icon, Lara Croft at the San Diego Convention Center, Room 5AB, Saturday, July 14 from 6pm-7pm.

Other swag-offering events include a Hitman: Absolution photo sniping contestTomb Raider themed Xbox 360 sweepstakes, a Tomb Raider cosplay event, Sleeping Dogs giveaways, and a stamp-giving Square Enix members passport program at the Square Enix booth.

Plus, the limited edition Comic-Con exclusive Batman: Arkham Asylum toys will make an appearance for $60. Finally, the Square Enix Manga Store will make an appearance, offering more than 170 volumes of manga with titles including Fullmetal Alchemist and Soul Eater.
