Pid – The Opposition Tango Media
For Kurt to get back home, he’ll have to overcome some tough enemies. These screens and trailer show some of the gameplay mechanics and characters of the upcoming Pid.
The young schoolboy Kurt gets stranded on a strange planet, and while he tries to get home, he explores some of the eccentric cities, attics, and catacombs. This world is populated by robots, and many enemies are programmed to stop the invading boy and will stop at nothing to maintain the status quo.
Fortunately, unlikely allies will help Kurt along the way, opening the story and offering new gameplay mechanics.
Pid combines platforming, puzzle-solving, and action-ing. Er… I mean, “action.” Throughout the game, players are empowered by multiple solutions to the various problems, allowing a diverse range of appeal for players.
Speaking of multiple ways to play, Pid also caters to multiplayer. In the cooperative mode, players work together to solve the puzzles and get both characters through areas. Fortunately, there will be competitive elements to allow players to test their skills against each other.
Pid features the music of Retro Family, an independent studio specializing in music for film and video games.
Pid comes from developer Might and Delight and will release to digital platforms this year. Check out the trailer below for more.
