JAM Live Music Arcade Available Now
Manipulation and improvisation are the key features to JAM Live Music Arcade, available now on the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.
Zivix, LLC wants to destroy your ideas of music games and bring something fresh to the genre with its collection of 32 songs from artists like Owl City, Modest Mouse, Atmosphere, and more. Published by Reverb Publishing and 505 Games, JAM Live Music Arcade is available for 800 MS points and $9.99 now.
“It’s certainly one thing to feel like a rockstar, but to define your own sound as it happens is an unparalleled experience in music gaming. When we found out how to best make it work, it felt like a revelation; the kick in the pants the genre needed,” said Chad Koehler, vice president of Zivix. “Creating music becomes intrinsic and refreshing, and I can’t wait to hear the mixes people jam together. The possibilities are almost endless.”
While the Arcade Mode allows players to perform the roster of music much like a traditional music game (compatible with many guitar peripherals), the real meat of the game comes from the JAM Mode, which allows players to create music on the fly. Players can take one of the licensed songs and remix any part of it, from the song itself to the instruments used. JAM Live Music Arcade wants to make a musician out of you with easy controls and deep exploration.
