Some say PC gaming is going downhill, but all the signs lately say no way with so many awesome games out this year and so many more to come.  Here are 5 games that PC gamers will want over the Holiday season.

Batman: Arkham City

Metacritic: 92

Average Price: $39.99

In this open world expansion Batman must keep the criminals of Gotham penned up and under control inside a super-prison that encloses a large part of the city of Gotham.

This expansion from the game Arkham Asylum has been getting nothing but rave reviews since its release.

Battlefield 3

Metacritic: 89

Average Price: $59.99

This third expansion of the Battlefield series keeps the virtual marines busy with its single player missions and MASSIVE multiplayer capabilities.  You can have double the number of multiplayers on a map for the PC version than you can for the console versions, meaning anyone who loves multiplayer should have this game very high up on the list.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Metacritic: 90

Average Price: $49.99

Human Revolution is the third game in the Deus Ex series, but it is a prequel to the first two games.  If you enjoy Deus Ex, then you’ll love the chance to learn how Adam Jensen got his start.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Metacritic: 95

Average Price: $59.99

This fifth expansion of the Elder Scrolls game has been a huge undertaking for Bethesda, and Bethesda has shown why since the release of Skyrim.  All my friends who play this game rave about the graphics, the gameplay, and the story, and NONE of them are close to finishing this game yet.  If you dont have Skyrim yet, it should be at the top of your list for games.

L.A. Noire

Metacritic: 83

Average Price: $49.99

This 1947 detective style game shows how old school you can get and still have a great video game with an intense storyline and incredible graphics.  Follow Detective Cole Phelps as he fights Hollywood’s booming underworld.
