Raiden is getting his chance in the spotlight with Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and despite that incredibly stupid title, Platinum Games is making this ninja game just as over-the-top and fun as I want it to be.
Most of the time, the surest sign of a waste of time is a licensed game. Whether it’s based on a TV show or movie, these games take someone else’s intellectual property and barely attempt to make it interactive.
Today, the Kickstarter-funded Ouya went on preorder with several retailers. The console will launch in June at $100. But with as much money as the Ouya closed at when it went through its public funding, the young company should have enough cash on hand to survive a total flop.
This week, two huge games launch, a violent survival-horror and a kid-friendly action platformer. But as I mentioned before, the game industry focuses too much on the M-rated games. Therefore, it’s time to put an E10+-rated game in the spotlight.
Feb 20 looks like it will be an exciting day for gamers. If rumors and speculation is correct, Sony will reveal the PlayStation 4. We can speculate all day about what this will do to the industry, but for now, I’d rather imagine a world in which the PS4 is announced this month.

Last night, I stayed up way too late finishing Assassin’s Creed III, but I’m glad to be finished. Now, I can work my way through the next games on the list, beginning with Avatar Legends for the Xbox Live Arcade.
