CONFIRMED: Zynga Purchases OMGPOP
0UPDATE (3/21/2012): AllThingsD reports that Zynga has in fact made the purchase. $180 million for OMGPOP, with an additional $30 million in “employee retention” costs.
Zynga. the social games behemoth, is reportedly in talks with OMGPOP for a buyout. The bid for the company might reach $200 million, according to sources.
Bill Proposed in Congress To Put Warning Labels on Video Games
0Congressmen Joe Baca (D-Calif.) and Frank Wolf (R-Va.), who just seem so fond of wasting your taxpayer dollars, introduced a bill to congress on Monday that would require video games to garnish a warning label similar to the Surgeon General’s warning found on tobacco products. The warning would read as such:
“WARNING: Exposure to violent video games has been linked to aggressive behavior.” (more…)
