Set to launch this fall for Kinect, Wii, and Ninendo 3DS, Activision Blizzard and ABC Entertainment Group present Wipeout 3 with updated features and more characters.

“Much of Wipeout‘s success has stemmed from the fact that people of all ages enjoy the show,” said Matt Kunitz, Wipeout’s Creator and Executive Producer.  ”We want to capture that essence with Wipeout 3 so that kids, parents, and even grandparents can plunge into this easy-to-learn, zany game.”

While favorite obstacles return, including Sweeper Arms and the Big Balls (he he!), 12 new summer and winter course themes with dozens of obstacles create hours of family-friendly fun.

Wipeout 3 will support split-screen multiplayer for up to four players. The game also features a shop for helpful gear and new characters, but it’s too early to state if this will be a micro-transaction system or in-game rewards.
